    • Anna Varghese I just attended two major conferences in these two months discussing the issue of caste..its a lot complex, intrinsic and much debated category in the academic circles these days. Interestingly there is a distinct distinction made out btwn caste and religion, its all pervasiveness and impacts of caste on socio politico economic psyche of the masses. Burning issue which needs to b attended and addressed with care.

The caste divide and the class divide. Church moves from being a spiritual centre to a political space which satisfies the need for esteem and Self Actualization as put forward by Abraham Maslow.

Caste issue is one where this respect for the difference ideology will not work. The issue is such a negative thing. To accept the existence of it and to consciously work together for the eradication of it is what we can do.

    • Arun Bose First and foremost I request a total BAN on all political parties based on religion and community, but for those based on a principle and ethic like communism or democracy. Secondly BAN all community media channels. Politicised media propaganda is the worst thing our country might face in future. It is an irony that today politics and religion had become the job of jobless people.
